Pressing Instructions

Application instructions for each transfer type we offer: ALWAYS PRE-PRESS YOUR SHIRT TO GET MOISTURE OUT!

SUBLIMATION TRANSFERS

1. Set the heat press to 385–400°F. You may need to use a heat gun to make sure your temperature is accurate.

2. Insert copy paper, parchment paper, or butcher paper inside your shirt and on top of your transfer. This protects the shirt if any ink bleeds through.

3. Press the shirt for 60 seconds at medium pressure; a 100% poly light color can be pressed for 45 seconds.

Sublimation transfers DO NOT GO ON BLACK SHIRTS. Sublimation: Do not print in white.

You must use a shirt that is at least 50% polyester. 100% polyester shirts or materials work the best to get the most vibrant colors. Please note: If you use a shirt made of less than 50% polyester, you will get a vintage look and may experience fading after washing the garment.

White or light-colored shirts are highly recommended, but other colors may be used depending on the design.

DTF TRANSFERS

1. Set the heat press to 290–302°F. You may need to use a heat gun to make sure your temperature is accurate.

2. You will need to use heavy pressure while pressing these screens. (8-9 manual. 60 psi automatic)

3. Press the DTF transfer for 10 seconds, open the press, and let the film cool for about 15-20 seconds. Peel the film off.

4. Cover the transfer once the film is off with parchment or Teflon and repress for 10 more seconds.

In order to know these are applied properly, you must be able to see the fabric lines through the shirt.
